It's FIFA 12 Day

So today is the first day of Gamescom and I think that means all FIFA fans are thinking the same, bring on the news, the information, give us the things we want to know! As I'm sure many, if not all of you, are aware today the demo release date will be announced and whilst this is big news EA have been hinting at a lot more than just a demo date. I personally expect to hear about FIFA Pro Club Championship, other online modes, Creation Centre and much more so my fingers are crossed.

Today I'm sure there will be a lot of coverage of all of the news from FIFASoccerBlog, SweetpatchTV, UltimateFIFA and many others sites so be sure to check them for the latest news.

I will also be doing my best to update this blog post with any and all news that is posted with links to various sites so for a quick round up keep checking back. I have also added an EA Live Stream below for those of you that would like to watch.

12:22 - All is quiet as the show is being prepared.
13:01 - According to Marius Hjerpseth on twitter (@Hjerpseth) "FIFA 12 trailer will be released in 1 hour".
13:32 - FIFASoccerBlog announce stream to go live at 2:30pm UK time. Nice one FSB.

15:07 - Gary Patterson showing his face , EAannounces a new FIFA Street game
15:09 - I wondered why Futsal had never been added to FIFA,
it's in the new FIFA Street, glad to hear that, been suggesting it for a while.
15:13 - Need for Speed now, looks nice.
15:18 - Bioware time
15:28 - Star Wars MMORPG - Looks nice, not an interest to me.
15:29 - Mass Effect 3, should be popular. Trailer looks pretty good.
15:32 - SSX time. SSX boasts the ability to use google maps to go 
to any mountain in the world, sounds like a massive boast.
15:40 - Independent studios now.
15:43 - Reckoning trailer, looks like a prettier version of World of Warcraft
 but will never have as much depth.
15:45 - The Secret World. Looks very interesting, a game built of myths, legends
and conspiracies being true. Looks genuinely interesting with no classes and levels
it could be a very unique game. The trailer looked very unique and interesting too,
might have to look into this one more.

FIFA 12 News


David Rutter came onto the stage and thanked the team in Vancouver. He started with the Trinity of game play which we have all heard plenty about and Career Mode. He also talked about personality changes which we have also heard a lot about.
He then went on to the online features, Online seasons mode announced where players compete over 10 seasons. Onlne friendlies mode for bragging rights.
FIFA Ultimate Team will be launching on disk. Those who have played before on UT will be able to start their team early this year with some free packs. No clubs news announced, twitter has exploded with complaints.


Gamescom info:


16:00 - Battlefield 3, looks very impressive. Call of Duty beater... maybe. Co-op looked great.
